Description	In 2004, San Clemente Church tore down and dismantled the church that Wille Gomez and other volunteers built from 1949-1952. The congregation constructed a new church through the the San Clemente Building Fund, which is visible on the sign in the picture. This photo was taken during the deconstruction of the old church. The nave, or main worship area, visible in the photo has now been rebuilt and converted into the gathering room in the new church. John Friedman was the architect for the new church. The current gathering room and crying room are the only remains of the old church. For additional information, see "Catholics Along the Rio Grande" by John Taylor.
