Ruth Jackson Hill identified herself in this photograph, along with the date, when she donated it to the Silver City Museum; however, she is not listed as a teacher for the 1924-1925 school year in Helen Calkins' book, The Public Schools of Silver City (1929). Miss Manville had been the principal of the Normal School, and upon the resignation of Mr. Byron Reed in 1918, Miss Manville was voted unanimously to the position of Superintendent of Silver City Public Schools.See #00479 & #00987.
