This building was to have housed C. P. Crawford’s bank, and was under construction when Crawford’s bank failed in December 1883. The Silver City Bank occupied it from March 1884 until February 15, 1885, operated by Henry and Charles Lesinsky. The Silver City National Bank opened in this location in August 1886. The several small buildings seen on the right were razed in August 1895 and replaced by the new grocery store of Gillett and Son.
