Description	This view of Bullard Street and Broadway looks north. On the left is the Meredith & Ailman bank building, followed by the Higby building, and the two stores owned by Cornelius Bennett are dissected by the columned American National Bank. The sign for Hinman's store is the stylized lettering high on the wall of the building in the distance. On the right, the corner building is Isaac Cohen's general merchandise store.
Notes	The post card is marked number 91761. Cornelius Bennett came to Silver City in 1872 and became prosperous from his many ventures. Besides starting a general mercantile store, Bennett was Grant County's first probate judge, mayor of Silver City, a druggist, and a mining superintendent. He was on the school commission and the school board. Cornelius and his brother, J. F. Bennett, owned many buildings in downtown Silver City and operated a variety of businesses.
