Description	The east side of Main Street, looking NE from Spring Street shows (L-R) the Gideon Truesdell grocery and dwelling (1876); the two-storey J. B. Phillips building; the Derbyshire building (1877); Higbee General Merchandise (original 1873 Derbyshire building; later the Assembly Room Saloon); and the two-storey Porter General Merchandise Store. The partial mansard-roofed building in the background (SE corner of Hudson and Broadway) was erected by Colonel J. F. Bennett in 1877.
Notes	Phillips leased the lower floor to Max Schutz in 1878 and the top floor to the Grant County Herald. The Bedrock Saloon was located in the adobe building at the far right of the photograph until October 1871 when Mr. William Milby sold the building to Dr. G. W. Bailey. Bailey remained in this location until February 1873.
