The overall mission of the New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), is to develop and disseminate knowledge that will assist the state and nation in solving water problems. Through the funding of research and demonstration projects, the institute utilizes the knowledge and experience of researchers throughout the state to solve New Mexico's pressing water problems.
The NMWRRI library maintains an active water data and information library as well as GIS information. This on-line access allows browse, search, and retrieval of water resource data.
The WRRI website contains a GIS laboratory inventorying GIS data and images from the Paso del Norte Watershed Project, New Mexico Environment Department Projects, as well as geologic maps and cross sections of the Hueco Bolson Hydrogeologic Framework Project.
